Lennar Urban, the developers of San Francisco's Candlestick Point and the Hunters Point Shipyard retained Solomon E.T.C., initially as part of the urban design team led by IBI, and later to test and refine the urban design and design guidelines. We selected five other distinguished architectural firms to join us in designing six large, contiguous city blocks within the Shipyard Plan. The result shows how this new neighborhood can capture the complexity, richness and variety of building types that characterize San Francisco’s neighborhoods.
