UCLA GLENROCK
WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES
The Glenrock Dormitory is our second UCLA student housing project. Daniel Solomon Design Partners led the design and collaborated with Studios on the later phases of the work. The project is located off-campus on a steep upslope site in the residential neighborhood of Westwood. The design honors both the Los Angeles tradition of dense courtyard housing, and the nearby iconic works of Richard Neutra and Gregory Ain. The sometimes boisterous life of undergraduates is contained within a series of linked courts that step up the hill. Entries and common areas bring life to these richly landscaped courts.
